Cat Wallet offers a versatile connection experience, supporting both traditional crypto-native wallets and frictionless email/social logins.
Privy Embedded Wallets
For users who do not have a crypto wallet or who are on mobile devices and want the most frictionless experience, Cat Wallet is for you uses Privy.
When a user log in via Email, Google, or Discord, Privy securely generates a non-custodial embedded wallet behind the scenes.
- No RPC configuration needed: The wallet is automatically configured to use the Ritual Chain.
- No app switching: Everything happens in the browser.
- Cross-device: Logging in on a new device restores the exact same wallet address/data.
External Wallets
For power users, Cat Wallet supports standard external wallets, including:
- MetaMask: Best for desktop users. (Note: On mobile, MetaMask users must use the WalletConnect QR code fallback due to deep-linking limitations on iOS)
- Coinbase Wallet: Uses Smart Wallet technology and Passkeys, offering the best native mobile experience without requiring an app installation.
- OKX Wallet: Fully supported on both mobile and desktop.
- WalletConnect: For connecting Trust Wallet, Rainbow, Zerion, and mobile MetaMask via QR code.
